About the Artist: “I love all things art.” Stan-Bey has drawn for years. Since his incarceration, he has learned to utilize stippling in several formats, as noted in many of his works. One can find many samples on photographer Peter Mert’s website under Arts and Corrections, Artists Serving Humanity (ASH); and Prison Art Touching Hearts (PATH)- which affords this artist to give back to the community at large. One of Stan-Bey’s projects was placed in the Smithsonian ( Cooper Hewitt Division) in New York City. In Remembrance, he references images that embrace transition, unity, spiritual health, enlightenment and a heightened awareness of progress altogether in Africa.
